El pasado 16 de Septiembre la sesión bibliográfica fue presentada por el Dr. Muela, que repasó diferentes artículos centrados en riesgo cardiovascular e hipertesión durante el embarazo publicados en diferentes revistas. Concretamente se revisaron los siguientes artículos:

• Incidence of stroke in patients with asymptomatic severe carotid stenosis without surgical intervention (JAMA)
• Fixed-dose combination therapies with and withouth aspirin for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease (Lancet)
• Polypill strategy in secondary cardiovascular prevention (NEJM)
• Bronchodilators in tobacco-exposed persons with symptoms and preserved lug function (NEJM)
• Effect of metformin vs placebo on invasive disease-free survival in patients with breast cancer (JAMA)
• Effect of self-monitoring of blood pressure on diagnosis of hypertension during higher-risk pregnancy (JAMA)
• Effect of self-monitoring of blood pressure control in pregnant individuals with chronic or gestational hypertension (JAMA)
• Treatment for mild chronic hypertension during pregnancy (NEJM)
